In today's society, there is a palpable awakening towards a mentality of adaptation and reinvention, especially in leaders. It is due to the constant global changes that the figure of a consolidated leader, the one who presumes to know everything, is lost. Today, we are all, in a way, leaders under construction, always ready to learn and readapt. The key is to accept the fact that being an immovable expert is an obsolete concept.
The answer lies in the power of growth mindset, a concept popularized by psychologist Carol Dweck. People with a growth mindset see challenges as opportunities and tend to thrive in situations where others become discouraged. In contrast, a fixed mindset can stop us in our tracks, limiting our potential.
Facing challenges constructively and learning from criticism are essential skills in today's environment. They not only prepare us for unpredictable situations, but also strengthen our personal and professional capabilities.
Adopting a growth mindset involves being aware of our attitudes and thoughts, as these are what shape our actions and experiences. The key is to be flexible and open to new experiences, while cultivating self-discipline and consistency.
Personal and professional development cannot be delegated; it is our responsibility. Designing a modern development plan requires focus and strategy, especially in a world where skills gaps and technological advancement are constant.
