Importancia de unificar conceptos

En este módulo se desarrollará como tema principal, la definición de los conceptos y, en este caso especial, el concepto de innovación. A lo largo del curso se hará un recorrido en el que se abordará la siguiente estructura:

1. Definición de conceptos
2. Diagnóstico
3. Proposición de soluciones
4. Evaluación y ciclo

Esta lectura tiene como propósito explicar el porqué es necesario empezar con una definición y alineación del concepto de innovación antes de abordar y desarrollar el tema.

¿Qué es un concepto?

Un concepto se define como una representación mental que se construye a partir de la categorización de cualidades comunes que se abstraen de los objetos.

¿Por qué es importante definir y alinear conceptos en innovación?

Cada territorio tiene sus particularidades. Los conceptos que se ven en el curso tendrán que adaptarse y moldearse, pero para no perder su esencia, deberá partirse de un punto unificado que se logra cuando el conjunto de involucrados conocen su definición y sus implicaciones.

La innovación es uno de los términos más usados y populares cuando se habla de transformar un territorio. Suele emplearse para hacer referencia a la creatividad, novedad u otros conceptos que pueden no corresponder y dificultar su delimitación de alcance y medición de impacto. Sin embargo, es necesario adaptar el concepto de innovación según las características y dinámicas propias de un territorio sin que esta pierda su esencia.

Se verá conforme se desarrolle el módulo, que los procesos en innovación no se ejecutan de manera individual, sino que corresponden a esfuerzos colectivos de quien la materializa, quien la impulsa y a quienes impacta. La claridad y homogeneidad del término de innovación facilitará la coordinación entre entes territoriales nacionales e internacionales y, de la misma forma, de los creadores de políticas públicas.

Ahora bien, en la próxima clase, definiremos la innovación como el concepto principal que nos permitirá desarrollar el curso.

However, it is necessary to adapt the concept of innovation according to the characteristics and dynamics of a territory without losing its essence.

As the module develops, it will be seen that innovation processes are not executed individually, but correspond to the collective efforts of those who materialize it, who promotes it and those who are impacted. The clarity and homogeneity of the term innovation will facilitate coordination between national and international territorial entities and, in the same way, of the creators of public policies.
