Don’t be afraid, this is your moment, no matter what!
Happens to me, I wasn´t fired. But i lose my job because i decided to quit. Why? The culture, the environment, the people, everything was falling so i prefered to leave. And it was the best i could have done. I learned, i deal with my decision, i meditated everything i experience there. It was really growing and now i feel more confident about it.
My advice, dont be afraid, take decisions, and be kind to yourself and to others dont let anyone treats you bad. And if so and the culture in the company is ugly, leave you dont belong there.
I lost my job one year ago, and I keep on looking for an opportunity, I have had some rejections but, I keep going wating for the best opportunity to me, meanwhile I am taking courses with Platzi
This course has been very helpful.
😉 New words
Learn on
anger a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility
former having previously filled a particular role or been a particular thing ex
overly excessively
humble having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance
undersell sell something at a lower price than (a competitor).
when somethings like that happen to me I said: " I’d not lose an opportunity I win many others." then I work hard and prepare for the next.
I think this guide is useful, but I need to work on my CV and online profile, I think my CV is outdated, and my LinkedIn is bad D: I will take the personal brand course, is time to take it! Also, I need to start to make networking
The most important is learn from your mistakes!
“Losing a job is one of the most stressful events that people go through in their lives” for sure It is.
I needed so much this, and right now I’m improving my skills here in Platzi because I decided to change my professional career to Data Science and BI Analyst! I was fired, but that doesn’t mean I was forced to stop learning or doubt about what I can make in the future! #NeverStopLearngin.
If you lost your job, you must keep calm and analyzing your options

It really is stressful, even when you are just reading it. But we cannot be afraid of failure, you never know if it is just a blessing in disguise.
Lose your work is very difficult situation, you need keep a calm think about your wrongs and think what are you doing for improve your skills, is time to reflexion and search new opportunities
I think that we need to be positive regards the rejection but also be aware that we can do our best and even with that we can fail, we can fail, but we’re willing to try as many times as it need

The best thing you can do to be prepared for a job fail is take care of about your financial situation. If you have a good financial in your bank, you will be quiet about a job fail, and you will more quiet.
When I wake up, the first that I do , put “para llegar arriba” by rels b. There are a part when say “Sólo necesito una oportunidad, para llegar arriba”
If we feel afraid, don’t worry. Everything will be okay 😝♥️
THANK YOU I WILL KEEP IT IN MIND BECAUSE NOW I AM PREPARING MY CURRICULUM AND THIS IS A GREAT HELP😊
Thanks for the tips, this is very helpfull in moment really bads.
Wow! In this class I learned a new verb in paragraph 4 in the phrase: “so the more you can mine your experience for skills and achievements” I felt confused with the word “mine” and I’m looking for other uses and I found that is a verb [transitive-intransitive]
Mine: to take minerals out of the ground "extraer"
a mountainous area where coal is mined / un área montañosa donde se extrae carbón
so the more you can mine your experience for skills and achievements / así que cuanto más puedas extraer tu experiencia en busca de habilidades y logros.
That was wonderful!
Amazing text! It really inspires me to keep growing and not being afraid to look for, apply and accept those dream jobs and projects that I find 😃
What is the best to deal with rejection?

Don´t afraid, don´t worry is normal to change jobs in this life.
I have failed so many times, I am kind of clumsy but I alwats try to be better
If you lose your job or if you are seeking your dream job, don’t be afraid, enjoy the trip, design a challenging learning path, learn at least a few everyday, if you are here you will be success.
I think all this advice’s are important to get another better job, however the most important things are:
Work in the CV, be prepared for the interview, and the most important thing in the live “LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES”. I think the mistakes is the thing that we can we learn more in the life, these teach to every person how can we make to improve for the future and avoid fall down in the same error’s. On the other hand, work in the CV is important, because you don’t had your dream work, you can try to get your dream job in this new opportunity.
The most important is learning from your mistakes.
You just lost your job. What is your next step?
• Dealing with rejection.
• Personal Brand/online image
• Analyzing your options /checking the market.
• Work on your CV / Be prepared for the interview

Losing our job…

Dealing with rejection: It’s very important to know the deal with this situation. We need to trust ourselves. Never give up and never stop learning. Remember that Walt Disney was rejected from many places many times. So you can do it, baby!
Personal brand / online image: Work in your personal brand, stay up updated whit technologies you domain. Create your own portfolio and put there all your projects.
Analyzing your options / checking the market. Check the market and the behaviour, what kind of technology is the most demanded, study the company that you can apply and prepare for the interview.
Work on your CV / Be prepared for the interview. Send your CV to all your friends and ask for feedback, what you need to improve, how are the designed, colours, fonts.
Learn on your mistakes
Nice article, I found it very useful since on some occasions I’ve received bad answers to give my feedback, so I’m gonna use the sandwich technique, next time, I hope things improve and I liked the tips that the article exposed.
Interesting article, i loved the theme. I have some questions for the Platzi communnity. Everyone is usually to upset after a negative feedback. How can we handle it?. On the other hand, what should we do if a co-worker feel upset with us after our negative feedback?. And the last one, Should we always give negative feedback? or Are there cases where we should just give positive feedbacks? if so, which ones? (I will appreciate corrections if there is any spelling mistake).
Thank you so much, I’ll think about all this tips before my next interview.
I love it !! Tks a lot for your tips, I had to do it when I lose my job, now my perfect offer is done!! 😃

Be confident about your strengths.

Two years ago, I quit my job in banking, after 20 years. Today I want to change my career for tech. This brought me to Platzi. Don’t be afraid, keep going. You can always start over. You can always learn something new
The great thing about Platzi English School is that besides English you also learn useful things for your life like the ones explained in this lesson. I would call it “life-changing knowledge”.
Take your time to deal with rejection.
Thanks for the tips and always learn from the mistakes!
I´m sure these tips will help me to improve a lot. Thank´s.

I definitely learned from my mistakes!
“There’s no shame in reaching out to these contacts to let them know you’re looking for something new.” ❤️
Excellent advice, I remember ten years ago, the social network was not as important as it is now to get a job.
Be brave and repeat, the perfect job doesn’t be in the first job offer.
In Mexico, companies have this bad habit and they never give feedback to the people that applied for a job. That makes difficult to identify on which areas you need to improve and learn from your mistakes.
Great advices. Always is important to learn and prepare to achieve our goals
Failure is the best teacher of all, just we dont realize when it happens, only when we look backwards
Thanks, it will be useful for my future.
