Give the right tasks

Pygmalion effect is a nice way to call to what many parents have done with their children. They have just given them an specific rol as a “girl” or a “boy”. What they are suppose to be. Fortunately, this is changing lately due to access to information, talks and movements about that.

The Pygmalion effect is great if you expect people to be smart, active, proactive that is how it will happen, as if you think negatively of them.
I have really been able to verify this effect so treat people as if they were great and you will be surprised by the result.

We also can make the pygmalion effect on ourselves. If we create a visión for ourselves.

Desafiante el efecto pigmalión. Yo como profesor, a diario me enfrento al desafío de ayudar a mis estudiantes a crecer como personas, más que a que aprendan las distintas materias que enseño.

We have the ability to positively influence the people with whom we interact, the expectations we create about them will impact the way they decide to respond to those expectations, it is the power to influence positively.

Si crees que tú, como coach, eres el mejor del universo, y la gente no puede vivir sin tu sabio conocimiento, porque tienes un ego bien grande, entonces constantemente le recordarás a tus clientes que sin ti no son nada. Este pensamiento no va bien con el espíritu de un coach.

I didn´t know about this effect… it´s very interesting and true, Now I make a reflection and I have to acept that I did this with my kids.
