Continuing the dialogue of Copacabana beach Fernanda wants to know a place to eat near the hotel. Once again we will practice the dialogue sentence by sentence.
Simulation dialogue
Fernanda: Oi, tudo bem? Tem lugares legais aqui perto do hotel? (Hi, Everything okay? Are there any good places here near the hotel?)
Person at the front desk: Tudo ótimo! E você? Sure, for sure. There are some restaurants and some bars. Que você prefere? (All good, And you? Of course. There are some restaurants and some bars. What do you prefer?)
Fernanda: Não sei, eu gostaria de algo típico do local (I don' t know, I would like something typical of the place).
Person at reception: Então você poderia ir na lanchonete do lado beber um caldo de cana e um pastel. (Then you could go to the cafeteria next door to drink a sugar cane juice and a cake or empanada)
Fernanda: Perfeito, muito obrigada! (Perfect! Thanks!)
Fernanda: Boa tarde! Gostaria de um caldo de cana e um pastel de queijo, por favor (Good afternoon! I would like a sugar cane juice and a cheesecake, please).
Waiter: Perfeito, já volto com o seu pedido (Perfect, I'll be back with your order) .
Narrator: Depois de comer (After eating ) .
Fernanda: Estava muito gostoso (It was very tasty ) .
Waiter: Deseja algo mais? (Do you want anything else?)
Fernanda: Não, obrigada, apenas a conta (No, thank you, just the bill ) .
Waiter: Sure, a caldo de cana costs four reais and a pastel de queijo costs five reais. Sua conta deu nove reais no total. (Of course, a cane juice costs four reais and a cheesecake costs five reais. Her bill was nine reais in total)
Fernanda: Qual é a forma de pagamento (What is your method of payment)?
Waiter: Aceitamos dinheiro, cartão de debito e cartão de crédito (We accept cash, debit card and credit card).
Fernanda: Ah, gostaria de pagar com cartão de debito (Ah , I would like to pay with debit card).
Waiter: Ok, vou buscar a máquina para passar o cartão(Ok, I' ll look for the dataphone to swipe the card).
Waiter: Pode colocar sua senha, por favor? (Can you put your password or PIN, please)
Fernanda: Pronto! Muito obrigada (Ready! Thank you very much!)
Waiter: Volte sempre! (Always come back!)
