“Marta shoots in Endler! On a bending bouncer she smothers it. Lloyd makes diagonal runs to get behind the defense. Here she goes! Lloyd… it’s saved by Endler. Prinz blocked. Oh! This is dangerous! Prinz turns it around and she strikes. Her first goal this season!”

b. Basketball game
c. Formula 1 race
d. American football game
“Chris Bosh leads to the second shot and clearly a three-point shot. (celebration) They confirmed that it was a three. Rose misses another. Smith has it. Anthony for three. And that goes down! It is the most difficult exercise I have done here at Platzi.
I only know the Listening2 was a Basketball game because of the 3-points shots
Event one:
“Marta shoots in Endler! On a bending bouncer she smothers it. Lloyd makes diagonal runs to get behind the defense. Here she goes! Lloyd… it’s saved by Endler. Prinz blocked. Oh! This is dangerous! Prinz turns it around and she strikes. Her first goal this season!”

The game is tied. (celebration) Anthony out to Smith. Smith the three-pointer…waaaay of the mark. Chandler tips it out again…”
b. Basketball game
the game is tied the meaning is when both have the same points
Where is the audio? 🤔
The second activity was easier for me because basketball vocabulary has unique words (three point shot.). Instead of first activity in which we can listen words like runs, block, goal that may can be used in football (the original) and american football.
Bending boucer-> tiro con comba ( I think thie is the most accurate translation)
Tip out-> lanzar
*If I’m wrong, please let me know
There is nothing on the worksheet
I think that the first event is an American Football Game and the second event is a Basketball Game.
very difficult, many words unknow and if you don´t know about sports, you can´t understand anything.
I sent an e-mail to support reporting the problem.
Hopefully, they will solve it soon.
I tried to do the exercise but the Worksheet PDF is empty
it´s easier to understand a eminem´s song than this listening excercise :C
This two audios was a little difficult, they speak very fast but I did get the general idea
It’s a very hard exercise, not only for the listening, but because i don’t watch sports
I’m prepared to anything that comes my way
its very dificult this exercise, especially for the vocabulary
This activity was pretty difficult but an interesting exercise to be closer to diary situations like sports. My performance was terrible, I thought the first event was an American football game and the second a basketball game 😅
Answers
A Soccer game.
B. Basketball game.
A little difficult to differentiate the sports to which he refers, but i tried.
Wow, at the beginning it was so difficult.
After listening some times. I got it!
The clue is to listen carefully.
The listenig one is about a soccer match and the listening two is about a basquetball match, the key words to me were the ‘the three point shot’ and ‘strike’ and ‘gol’ in the second one. I couldn’t understand much to be honest.
En el minuto 0:45 del vídeo, el profesor dice “Is describing TWO live events”, pero en los subtítulos aparece “is describing TO live events”.
a. Soccer game
b. Basketball game
1 event: American football game
2 event: Basketball game
The answers are:
Event one: soccer game
Event two: basketball game

Basketball
My answers:
Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess, when her father died, her stepmother wants to kill her and the princess runs to the forest and finds a little house and sleeps soundly. Finally the little people who live in the forest save her.
I got the first one correct but I fail the second one (I thought that was an American Football game).

Basketball game.
Those audios were difficult for me too. My answers were:
1- Basketball game
2- Soccer game
good…
igree with you
For a minute I thought the first exercise was about an American football game.
1- Basketball game
2- socceer game
oh for the fisrt comentary I think is the option A or D
for the second is B
This exercise was so difficult because i couldn’t undersand very well all that the Running commentary said
I think is key to use a good headphones to listen to the recordings. It helps, even though is still a difficult exercise.
I only know the Listening2 was a Basketball game because of the 3-points shots
Very good
