  • "The Colombians are well known for their dancing skills" (Los colombianos son bien conocidos por sus habilidades de baile).
  • También puedes decir simplemente: "Colombians are well known for their dancing skills" (Colombianos son bien conocidos por sus habilidades de baile).

¿Cómo practicar estas estructuras?

Practicar estas estructuras requiere tiempo y repetición. Aquí te proponemos algunos ejercicios para practicar:

  1. Completa las siguientes frases con los adjetivos mencionados:

    • French (francés), young (joven), disabled (discapacitado), unprivileged (no privilegiado).
  2. Intenta crear tus propias oraciones usando adjetivos y nacionalidades para ampliar tu comprensión:

    • "The young are the future of humanity" (Los jóvenes son el futuro de la humanidad).
    • "This is a special parking lot for the disabled" (Este es un parqueadero especial para discapacitados).

Argentinians are friendly and passionate people.
the young are the future of humanity i volunteer providing for the unprivileged the french are passionate about food this is a special parking lot for disabled
Yes, you can say "The youth are the future of humanity." In this case, "youth" serves as a collective noun to refer to young people in general, making it appropriate to use with "the" for generalizations. Just like in the examples discussed in the class, using "the" plus an adjective is a valid structure for making generalizations. Keep practicing, and you'll get even better at making these kinds of statements!
1. The educated contribute significantly to society with their knowledge and experience. 2. Many organizations are working to support The elderly. 3. The Wealthy often have access to high-quality education and healthcare. 4. The unemployed sometimes face challenges in finding stable jobs.
The Colombians are passionate about dancing and enjoy the life in each party
📝 Here are my notes about the class **The + adjective** When we combine the article “the” following by an “adjective” we can talk about people in general terms. 📢 Using it it’s very unusual, but it sound a bit more formal. **Examples** * **The rich** enjoy better life quality than the poor. * **Rich people** enjoy better life quality than **poor people**. **The + Nationalities** Other generalization is using Nationalities as adjectives; but there are some rules we must follow: * Nationality adjectives ending in “-sh”, “ch”, “-ese” or “-ss” 🔸 The Dutch, the Swiss, the Chinese. * With other nationalities, we can only use the plural form. 🔸 (The) Colombians, (the) Italians. **examples** * **The French** are considered great artists. * **The Japanese** are very disciplined. I hope this comment will be useful 💜
