Role-play: Past intentions

  • was/were + going to + verbo en infinitivo

Ejemplos:

  • "I was going to call you but I didn't have time" (Iba a llamarte pero no tuve tiempo).

  1. "I was going to call you but I'm glad I see you now" (Iba a llamarte pero me alegro de verte ahora).
  2. "I wasn't going to buy any snacks but thanks for the idea" (No iba a comprar ningún snack, pero gracias por la idea).
  3. "Ana was going to leave early but she's staying late to help Cesar" (Ana iba a salir temprano pero se quedará hasta tarde para ayudar a César).
  4. "They weren't going to meet for lunch after the meeting" (Ellos no iban a encontrarse para almorzar después de la reunión).

  • Practica identificando intenciones pasadas: Completa frases y crea tus propias oraciones.
