Cleft sentences are used to emphasize a specific part of a sentence.
Cleft is when the sentence is divided into two clauses.

Most common cleft sentences:
● All + (focus on one particular thing)

The sentence is divided into two clauses (cleft sentences).
There are different ways. Each way could be in present, past or future :

2. IT + (new information) who/that/when (old information). For example: IT’S Maria who EATS the cake (present).
