20/21
Recursos

Veamos algunos ejemplos: | Normal question | With complementary clause | | --- | --- | | Where do you live? | Where is it that you live? | | What did you eat yesterday? | What was it that you ate yesterday? | | What do you study? | What is it that you study? | | When did you go to Europe? | When was it that you went to Europe? | | Why did you call? | Why was it that you called? |

Este tipo de nuevas estructuras gramaticales del inglés o nuevas formas de expresar algo que ya sabes expresar te permitirá llevar tu nivel de inglés un paso más allá y lograr ese ansiado nivel avanzado al comunicarte en el idioma.

SUMMARY:
MAIN CLAUSE is a sentence that can stand on its own. A sentence that can survive by itself.
COMPLEMENT CLAUSE is a sentence that completes the idea or meaning of a noun, adjective or verb.
How to ask questions? All you need to do is take out the COMPLEMENT and add IS IT (present) or WAS IT (past).
We use these types of questions very often when we’re heard the information before, but we can’t remember. For example: where was it that you went on vacation?

  • Where is it that you live?
  • What was it that you ate yesterday?
  • What is it that you studied?
