Roleplay: Could you...?

14/19
Recursos

Could utilizado en pasado

Could reemplaza a can en pasado. Por ejemplo:

  • I could speak french when I was a kid / Yo podía hablar francés cuando era un niño.
  • 10 years ago, I couldn’t drive / Hace 10 años, no podía conducir.
  • I couldn’t arrive on time and I missed the plane / No podía llegar a tiempo y perdía el avión.

Could utilizado en presente

  • Could I borrow your pen, please? / ¿Me prestas tu bolígrafo, por favor?
  • You could ask your teacher for help / Puedes pedirle ayuda a tu profesor.

Could utilizado en futuro

Could es otra manera de emplear might o may para referirnos a posibilidades futuras.

  • Rachel could be the new manager / Rachel podría ser la nueva directora.
  • Alex could win the game / Alex podría ganar el partido.
  • He could go to jail for doing that / Él podría ir a la cárcel por hacer eso.
