This change happens in one single movement, without a break. # **/eɪ/ as in Face** * It’s a travelling sound. * Lips are unrounded (mouth is wide). * Jaw moves up (closes). * /e/ The tongue is in the middle of the mouth and the back is a little down. /ɪ/ The front of the tongue comes up.  For example: ```js Train -> /treɪn/ Delayed -> /dɪˈleɪd/ Eight -> /eɪt/ Wait -> /weɪt/ Plane -> /pleɪn/ Spain -> /speɪn/ Holiday -> /ˈhɑː.lə.deɪ/ Break -> /breɪk/ ``` # **/aɪ/ as in price** * It’s a travelling sound. * Lips are unrounded (mouth is wide). * Jaw is open and then it moves up (closes). * /a/ The back of the tongue is down. /ɪ/ The front of the tongue comes up.
