Palabras y frases como "also", "in that case", "look", y "besides" son herramientas invaluables para ello.

John: I totally get you. I felt exactly like that in my previous job, I spent months thinking that I was in a good fit and that I was the problem.
Mariana: So what did you do?
John: Well, I have a friend that has a similar job but in a different company. So I called her up and asked her to tell me about her responsibilities and how she felt at work
Mariana: And what did you find out?
John: After listening to her, I immediately understood that I wasn’t the problem, she has a whole team of people in her area and the workload is probably distributed among the employees. In contrast, I was doing the same amount of work, but without any kind of support.
Mariana: Did you tell your boss?
John: 'mm no exactly, first at that point I started looking for other jobs.
Mariana: Why?
John: Well, because I had been working for that company for 6 years, and even though I was giving my best, I was never given a rise
Mariana: No way! I’m so glad that you’re now working for Platzi!
John: Definitely, I also decided to stop working over the weekend, I’ve realized that wasn’t worth it. Truth is, that other company nobody ever thanks me for those extra hours I put in, and last but not least, I needed to pay attention to my mental health.
Mariana: John, I really wanna more about that last thing you said. Would you care to elaborate more on that?
John: With pleasure, what if we go grab a coffee, a tee or a snack, and we meet again in ten minutes?
Mariana: See you in ten.
