¡Vamos con el roleplay!

  • Alejandra: Good afternoon, everybody. Welcome to the meeting. Today we’ll be going over some marketing logistics, addressing recent concerns, and determining our priorities for the next three months.

Michael and Monique, our new analytic coordinators, are going to start us off with a presentation. Let’s give them a warm welcome! Michael: Thank you, everybody. Being appointed to this position is a serious honor. In our department, we find that deciding on proper action always requires careful analysis, and we’re very glad to be able to share some talking points with you all today.

First and foremost, in the past couple of months, we’ve seen some serious improvement in our engagement with our clients. Our investment in the social media team has led to some positive growth in our customer base, and our inbound marketing team has made some serious gains in terms of sales. Nonetheless, we’ve run into a couple of problems, and we need to develop a new strategy going forward to rebound from some errors we have made. Monique, would you like to give them the bad news?

  • Monique:* Yes, hello everybody. Thank you all again for having us here today. Despite these positive trends that we’ve experienced in the last few months, in the last week we saw a serious dip in our expansion. It appears that our Halloween sale was far less effective* than anticipated.

Our competitor, Gorilla Products Inc., sold nearly twice as many units as we did. We found in some anonymous surveys that the clients reacted poorly to our use of cold calling, email promotions and other outbound marketing techniques. Yes, Julio?

  • Julio:* So, it seems to me that the more we use invasive marketing techniques, the less likely* clients are to purchase our products. I mean, I know what it’s like to be irritated with all those spam emails.

  • Monique:* Exactly! And the longer we spend bothering people with these outdated methods, the less resources we’ll have* to invest in more efficient techniques like marketing based on data and search engine optimization.

  • Alejandra:* Wow, I’m shocked that our clients had such a bad reaction to the emails. Would it be too farfetched to get rid of email marketing altogether? As long as* we keep our loyal clients engaged with our new products through social media, we probably don't have to send them emails, right?

  • Michael:* Yes, this is definitely an option that we’ve been considering. Seeing that* our investment in the social media and inbound marketing team has proven so successful, I’d say we should focus entirely on that strategy in the next three months.

  • Monique:* In fact, a whole new plan for the Halloween sale had been developed* in September, but we weren’t able to execute it in time this year. Maybe we could implement a similar strategy for the holidays this year.

  • Julio:* Absolutely. I had gotten* so used to those pesky emails that I never thought of the new possibilities. Should we take a look at the new strategy this week?

  • Michael:* I think we should all read it and start familiarizing ourselves with it in the next couple of days. Judging by the data, I think we’ll have five times the amount* of units sold this holiday season if we dive head on into some new tactics.

  • Alejandra:* I never would have thought ten years ago that the marketing landscape would have been transformed* so drastically by technology, but I trust you guys and I know we’re on the right track.

  • Julio: Excellent! Well, I’ll get started right away reading the new strategy, and we’ll start implementing it next week. Thank you both so much for your hard work!

A partir de esta conversación laboral sobre marketing entre Alejandra, Michael y Julio, intenta responder las siguientes preguntas:

  • How did the team get the outbound marketing data?
  • Who suggests ending the email marketing first?
  • What does Michael suggest the team focus on in the next three months?

No te preocupes si no has logrado comprender la totalidad de la conversación. En las siguientes clases verás el lenguaje más avanzado para comprender cómo expresarte con las estructuras gramaticales más avanzadas.

SUMMARY
Alejandra, Monique, Julio and Michael did a meeting to go over some marketing logistics, addressing recent concerns and determining their priorities for the next three months.
Michael and Monique, the new analytic coordinators, started off with a presentation.
Michael said that they had seen some serious improvement in the engagement of the company with their clients in the couple of months before. Because the investment in the social media team had led to some positive growth in the customer base, and the inbound marketing team had made some serious gains in terms of sales.
But he too said that they had run into a couple of problems and needed to develop a new strategy to resolve them.
Then, Monique commented that they had seen a serious fall in the Halloween sales, their competitor had sold nearly twice as many units as they. The reason had been the invasive marketing techniques used. Many clients had reacted poorly to their use of cold calling, email promotions and other outbound marketing techniques.
Julio agreed with them and added that he had understood the clients reactions.
Then Monique said that they would have to invest in more efficient techniques like marketing based on data and search engine optimization.
Next Alejandra commented that as long as they keeped their loyal clients engaged with our new products through social media, they probably wouldn’t have to send them emails.
Then Michael said that they should focus entirely on those new strategies in the next three months.
Next Monique said that a whole new plan for the Halloween sale had been developed but it hadn’t been executed by time. They could implement a similar strategy for the holidays that year.
Finally, Julio, Michael and Alejandra agreed with Monique. They said that they would read the new strategy plan to start familiarizing ourselves with it in the next couple of days, and they would start implementing it next week.

ANSWERS:
Data-informed decisions are important because it helps us to make a real diagnosis of any situation. We make statistics with the data and these statistics are a reading of what is happening. They aren’t assumptions.
This helps us to analyze the outcomes of strategies implemented. For example: you can study the effects of a new strategy of marketing, after a couple of months that it was applied.

Why is it important to make data-informed decisions? How does this help our analytical and problem-solving skills?

First and foremost, taking decisions based on data (numbers and mathematics) is the best choice and the only successfully. It is because you use numbers to identify: profit and loss in a certain period of time. If this range of period is longer, your decision will be more certain.

Furthermore, time ago, before the technology and information era. Companies ere accustomed to take decision based on intuition. Nowadays, you could do it in that way, yet you will have a huge risk.

Finally, learning about Data Science and apply into Marketing strategies will increase profit, sales, engagement, etc. In other words, you will conquer any industry by using data.

* How did the team get the outbound marketing data? By an anonymous survey. * Who suggests ending the email marketing first?n Alejandra. * What does Michael suggest the team focus on in the next three months? Focus on the strategy based on social media and inbound marketing.

The role play is about a meeting to discuss the methods to make publicity and marketing. Those methods are evaluated and with some analytic data, they found that methods are not efficient.

Making decisions with analytic data is important because it is a way to see why is failing our product directly from the clients.

* How did the team get the outbound marketing data? - They did an anonymous survey. * Whos suggests ending the email marketing first? -Alejandra is the first * What does michael suggest the team focus on in the next three months? - to invest in the social media and inbound marketing team

My summary:

The team conducted an anonymous survey and discovered that email marketing was perceived as intrusive. As a result, they believe it would be a good idea to rethink the entire strategy.

For this reason, Alejandra suggests that the best option is to stop sending cold emails.

Everyone agrees, and Michael also suggests that it would be a good idea for the team to focus on inbound marketing techniques in the next three months.

  • How did the team get the outbound marketing data?
They did some anonymous surveys and noticed that the clients reacted poorly to the use of cold calling.
  • Who suggests ending the email marketing first?
Monique suggest the idea to invest in more efficient techniques like marketing based on data and search engine optimization.
  • What does Michael suggest the team focus on in the next three months?
Michael suggest they will investment in the social media and inbound marketing team in the next three months.

Alejandra, Julio, Michael and Monique are in a meeting, where Alejandra reviews recent successes and challenges. Michael an Monique highlight positive engagement growth due to social media and sales gains from inbound marketing. However, a disappointing Halloween sale outcome prompts a discussion on the negative impact of invasive marketing techniques. They consider a new strategy for the upcoming holiday season, emphasizing data-driven approaches. The team expresses optimism about technology’s transformative role in marketing, and their commitment to implementing the new strategy is underscored.

Making data-informed decisions is crucial for effectiveness in business. It helps analytical and problem-solving skills by fostering critical thinking, pattern recognition, and systematic approaches to addressing challenges.

Pesky: Molesto.

Why is it important to make data-informed decisions?
It is so important because it give us real information of how the clients are interacting with our product or strategies

Monik remember how good was the last strategy on Halloween, and they decided to try once more this strategy.

they have a meeting when they discuss their inbound email marketing, the next strategy to make things work. They discover that there seems to be a drop in hallowen sales and they believe it is because of too many marketing emails to customers, so they conclude the best idea is to stop the emails and focus on social media.

My summary:
Alejandra, the marketing leader, were in a meeting with Michael and Monica, who were new analytic coordinators, and Julio who also work with marketing analysis.
Alejandra presented Michael and Monica. Michael said thank you and that they were grateful for the opportunity of working in a great company like that, because is an honor to be in that position, helping them with the analytic information about the customers and sales. Then, Monica started talking about “the bad news”, the statics related to the customer reaction to advertising and how it affected their sales, although having a positive growth in the engagement of the customers and the marketing gains in the last months. Monica talked about their errors and how their competence sold twice than them, and that actual sales are less than expected for halloween season. She argued that the advertising emails were self-defeating because it annoys customers, an information that they got from anonymous surveys. Julio asked, to confirm, if that means that the clients were avoiding buying products of the company due to the advertising through annoying emails. Monica confirmed.
The team of the analytics coordinators detected that a better way to present their products were through social media, this was supported with the information about their competence who made more publicity through social media and unbound marketing.
Alejandra concluded that, based on that information, they should end the email marketing and focus on social media. Julio was agree and he said that he hadn’t thought that different advertising methods would work instead of the emails. Therefor, in the next 3 months, they are going to focus on the marketing for social media hoping better sales results for the next holidays, and in the next week, they decided to look the new strategy.
Michael supposed that, with that new marketing technic they would increment their sales five times, and Alejandra was surprised about how the technology has changed the way to do marketing, but she agreed to carry out the new method, trusting in them.

Why is it important to make data-informed decisions? How does this help our analytical and problem-solving skills?
The data collected from the customers helps a company identify the strategies that are affecting their sales and which are helping them to grow. In that way, they can make decisions so as to reinforce their marketing strategies searching for reach more people and encourage them to buy their products.
This helps our analytical and problem-solving skills because that information give us the necessary parameters to identify what the customers are looking for, how advertising reaches them more easily and what bothers them. Also, it allows a company to recognize how the competence is working and why the are selling more or less than them and, in that way, define methods to improve their sales.

The roleplay is about a important meeting with a coworkers
Julio and Monique are new members of the team. Michel is the leader of the team, and Alejandra is the meeting presenter. Suddenly the leader explains the main points of the meeting, which are problems in sales. They had been following the wrong way to manage their onboard marketing. They are going to stop the strategy and improve their methods in digital marketing

In my opinion I would say that currently is too easy to get some data information through different KPI and metrics as well and there are many tools that can provide us important facts about customer’s opinions and also there are a lot of tools to interact with customers in a direct an easier way to get their opinions about our product or service so they can rate us and based in different strategies we can make better decisions so the company can grow as much as it’s possible because the objective of all companies is to be successful therefore constant updating in tech is paramount.

In the meeting they discussed the results of the marketing strategy that they applied during last holidays however they didn’t get good news as this was anticipated for that reason they decided to change the strategy and they will be focusing on Inbound Marketing and in Social Media, they want to apply new technology to get better benefits, they are expecting to sale 5 times more in amount than last sale, also they expect to increase profits, they also want to keep the loyal of the customers.

  • The roleplay is about a meeting of the employees to discuss why and what they should improve in their inbound marketing strategies. Everyone proposes something to prove and something to get rid of.

  • Making data-informed decisions helps us to understand how the clients see us. We can make our content or strategies more related to how they perceive a brand or product. We listen to them to make their experience better.

Why is it important to make data-informed decisions? How does this help our analytical and problem-solving skills?

It’s important because if we don’t take the company in that direction, we would be making biased decisions, and that could cause us loss of income, lose clients, promos, and more. Making data-driven decisions allows us to be informed, be accurate and effective while moving forward.

-They discover the warn water, the email marketing sucks and focus on social media.

-“If you can not measure it, you can not improve it.” iif you will have made decisions with out data you should stop it.

the metrics and KPI can solve any problem in your Job and life

Well first they start a meeting with marketing logistics team, they made a warm presentation of theyselves and show how the company has improvements to their costumers and a positive growth in their customer base in the last months, although the good news they also got bad news and need talk about it, the problem appears in the halloween sales the strategy was far less effective than they anticipated, the competitor company sold closely twice than they did and they saw a anonymous survey where it say that his clients doesnt like the way they use the email promotions because they became into a invasive emails and spam, so they analize and execute the best marketing strategy without use the emails, the ideas about new strategies was marketing based on data ,search engine optimization and social media and inbound marketing, the whole team thinks the strategy might work perfectly so they need focus in that in the next months and implement it to the next holidays sales. they finish the meeting thanking everyone.

i think is important because in the lastest years the datas information, numbers and indicators give us a nearly (or perfecly) information about the people who use most a social network, what dish people used to eat most in a mall, how many viewers has a youtube channel and a lot of things more, and using this information in our favor and correctly in our marketing decisions surely could increase our number of costumers, sales, the way how we reach to more people etc, it helps us to much when the matter is about know the people likes, for example what they like and how we can attract they to us ike a future costumers.

The playrole was about 4 co-workers that had a meeting to disuss the performance of the sales, the noticed that the social media was the best tool to promote ther prodcut, and also ther realized that send emails to their clients was a bad idea, beacouse in that way they only lose clients

In the role play there are three people discussing about marketing strategies and techniques that they either have to get rid or get used to new and more effective strategies that that will optimize the resources of the marketing team. Also they are talking about the level of satisfaction with their clients and how to make more people interested in their product.

They start by going over the results of the anonymous survey and also pointing out their success but admitting that their competitor surpassed them so they then analyze their marketing strategies and get to the conslusion that e-mails aren’t the best way to get to their customers’ hearts, so they first suggest and then agree to focus on other marketing strategies especially based on social media, since they think that’s going to help them improve their numbers

This is the most difficult roleplay I’ve seen so far

• 4 coworkers held a meeting were discussed over 3 main points: marketing logistics, recent concerns and setting priorities for the next three months.
• The new analytics coordinator Michael and Monic explained that careful analysis is the key to deciding on the appropriate action, Michael also said that they had seen some serious improvement in the engagement with the clients; the customer base grew and the sales increased, this, thanks of the actions leading by the social media and inbound Marketing team.
• Monica, on the other hand doesn’t bring good news, the saw a serious dip in their expansion, the Halloween sales was less effective than anticipated, the client react poorly to email promotion and others outbound marketing techniques, one conclusion is that The clients don’t like invasive marketing techniques. Michael suggested focusing on social Media and inbound Marketing for the next e months

Just in this question, I considered is Julio the first one in suggests ending the email marketing.
Who suggests ending the email marketing first?
Julio said: “I mean, I know what it’s like to be
irritated with all those spam emails.”

Michael talked about the importance of doing analysis. He started with some positive points like the excellent results of ivesting in social media and inbound marketing. Monique complemented this idea with an error that they have been making related with sending annoying emails to the clients, which are not having a positive effect on them

So, Alejandra mentioned thar maybe the have to get rid of email marketing altogheter and Michael proposed that they have to focus on those strategies that are working positively.

They agreed that they will be implmenting all th new strategy next week.

To make data-informed decisions is important because companies can make strategies based in real results, opinios, behaviors, so it would be likely to succeed

Basically it was about how they can improve their sales, since the last halloween season they were afected by low demand on their products, and they came to the conclusion that is much better to ged rid of the email sales system and focus more on a new strategy.

  1. The play role was about a meeting, people were discussing about sales, about the applied strategy that did not work, because they did an anonymous survey, it were not well revecived by clients, so one of them suggest to focus on the strategy based on social media and inbound marketing.

  2. It is important because it can give you all the data related with applied strategy, making know about the positive or negative results, and the efectiveness of it.

  • How did the team get the outbound marketing data?
    They did an anonymus survey

  • Who suggest ending the email marketing first?
Alejandra was first one who suggest that they rid of emails altogether.

  • What does Michael suggest the team focus on in the next three months?
He suggest the team to focus on the strategy of social media and inbound market

  • How did the team get the outbound marketing data?

  • Who suggest ending the email marketing first?

  • What does Michael suggest the team focus on in the next three months?

intente seguir el role play y no logre seguirlo

The company at this moment is in a very critical situation and it needs to acquire new strategies to improve the sales statistics.
