¡Vamos a profundizar!

  • Me levanto at 6 a.m. los lunes.
  • Siempre almuerzo at noon.

  • At this moment, I'm recording this class.

Y tú, ¿qué estás haciendo at this moment?

My daily routine

I wake up at 5 am on Mondays to Fridays and at 6 am on weekends, and take my two dogs for a walk. Then, I wake up my son, and he dresses up in his uniform. Meanwhile, my husband is cooking. We share breakfast together. At 6:45 am, my husband and my son go to school.

Fortunately, my husband and I work from home. We have the same schedule from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and both take a two-hours break in the afternoon. My son goes out at 12:00 pm, and we all have lunch together. Normally, we have dinner in the evenings at 7pm or 8pm and then we watch some television like series or movies, and at 9pm we go to sleep.

Every weekend we relax by doing some exercise like cycling or playing in the park. We also visit different places such as the library or mall, or spend time with our families. But always cleaning our house.

Here's my answer to my routine: I wake up at 4:30 am (most of the weekdays), then I meditate for a short period of time (5-10 minutes), depending on the date I run or do other stuff. On Tuesday's, Thursday's and Sundays I run. Then I take a shower and organize my bedroom. At 7:30 am I ride my bike to work. I live close to the office so I can be more relaxed in the commute. When I arrive to the office at 7:55 am I'll go to my desk and turn on the laptop. Every weekday I have two "dailys" the first one at 8:00 am and the second at 9:00 am, depending on the task I have assigned I start to work on those. At noon I'll get back to home to lunch; I have to be back in the office at 2:00 pm. I start my afternoon "session" that finished at 6:00 pm. Usually when I don't run I'll go to the gym. At the end of the day, when I come back home at around 6:30 pm I'll help my family make dinner. I'm trying to use an app called Elsa Speak which I use to practice my pronunciation in English. Finally I brush my teeth and go to sleep at 9:30 pm.

I usually wake up at 7:30am

I usually take my lunch at later.

I and my family work so hard at Christmas.

At the moment I’m taking notes.

Yes, it is correct to say "At that moment..." when referring to an action in the past. In your example, "At that moment I was a good player" effectively indicates a specific time during your past experience. This aligns with the use of "at" for precise times or moments, as discussed in your recent class on prepositions. Keep practicing these structures to enhance your English fluency!

Leonard is a man of routines. Every day he has a strict schedule so he can do all the activities he plans. He starts the day _at_ 6:00 am. After waking up, he helps his children to get ready for school. The kids have to take the bus _at_ 7:00 am so they don’t arrive late. When Leonard calls them, they alway say: “We’ll get up _in_ a moment, dad! _in_ 5 minutes!” When children go to school, Leonard prepares breakfast for him and for his wife, Monica. She works from home most days of the week. She just goes to the office _on_ Fridays. _At_ the moment, she's working for an international company, so when she works from home, her schedule is crazy: she starts working _at_ 10:00 pm and finishes _at_ 5:00 am! It’s only _on_ the weekends when she can go to sleep early. Going back to Leonard, when he finishes his breakfast, he goes to the company. He’s an architect. He has worked in the same company for more than 10 years! Actually, _in_ April 17th, it’ll be 11 years of working for Head Industries. Her colleagues loved him. That’s why _on_ Christmas Day last year he received an amazing present from them: 4 tickets to travel to Disney! His family was super happy with this gift and decided they are going _in_ summer, so they can enjoy perfect weather in the park. Leonard finishes work _at_ 5:00 pm and then hits the gym. He likes to stay healthy, that’s why he works out _in_ the evenings. When his routine is over, he goes back home to have dinner with his family _at_ 8:00 pm. After finishing dinner, Leonard gets ready to have some rest. _at_ night, he feels completely exhausted so he goes to bed _at_ 10:00 pm, the same time her wife starts working. What a day, huh?
