I’m from Colombia, I live in Bogotá and all that you say is right, I love how you describe the places, the things that you can do in the city and the different characteristics of it. Thank you, Gi

I live in Bogotá and these are my tips.

  • You should carry your backpack in front and always in sight
  • You shouldn’t carry important things that stick out in your back pockets
  • You should download Transmiapp on your phone to see the routes easily
  • You shouldn’t take the bus late at night, especially if you’re alone
  • You should enjoy the travel 😅

I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The only way to use public transport is to have the SUBE card in my city. This card is used for all means of transport (buses, railways and subways). If you can, you should choose to move by rail or subway because they are the fastest. You should not travel alone in a bus for a long journey. For these cases: you should combine bus and subway, or bus and train. You will get the shortest travel times. Besides, the second trip of a combination with the SUBE card discounts 50 percent.
The most problematic hours for traffic and public transport are around 8 am and around 6 pm. If you can, you shouldn’t avoid traveling at those times.
There are very comfortable public means of transport and others not so much. As well as safe means of transport and others not so much. Before using any of them, you should find out this information.
If you want to travel safely and comfortably you should choose an Uber or a Cadify. But these means are much more expensive than using the SUBE card.

Expression for my list:

  • “In no time” ɪn noʊ taɪmis an idiomatic expression that means “very quickly” or “in a very short time”. It is often used to describe how quickly something happens or how quickly someone does something. For example, “I finished my homework in no time” means that the person finished their homework very quickly.
  • “rush hour” rʌʃ ˈaʊər hora pico
  • “off-peak hours” ɔf-pik ˈaʊərzhora valle

At the time of entry to work, it is crowded, and the important recommendation is, store your belongings very well. There are other modes of transport like; metrobus, trolebus, cablebus.
I'm from Mexico City, we have "Metrobus" and subway, they are the fastest option if you want travel around the city, but is not the safest transportation. Actually, no one is safe but if you are prepare for an adventure, this is for you, just be carefull. Some recommendations: * You should carry your backpack in front and never carry your cell or wallet in your trouser bags. * You should be kind. A lot of people here is some stressed because all of them have to travel around 2 or 3 hours everyday. * You should buy and charge a card before entering the station, only you need one even if are 2 or more people.

I love transmileno, but people in bogota hates it. I live in Ibague right now and the transportation system is a piece of junk, the bus older than the previous ones, problems with the money change, without safe stops and a lot the problems with the bus workers.

Hey, i live in New York, we do have a system (OMNY) in our cellphones what we use for all the trips, you should have internet and your card/credit card conect in your smartphone/wallet to pay in any station. Also, exists a lot of apps for help you to find your rute to your destination, you should have one of those apps. The MTA its very extensive you can ride in a train, between lines A-C-E-1-2-3-B-D-F-M-4-5-6-7-N-W-R-Q-J-Z-G-FERRY AND BUS more than 500 stations, only for $2.90... very important, you shouldn'pay much attention to people, many of them live in a world where you wouldn't understand. I always enjoy to ride in a NYC metro, you should live the experience. -Lo escribi sin traductor - ::clap::

In Peru, we have Lima’s metro, Line 1. It is one of Lima’s most popular modes of transportation. It is used by thousands of people every day to get to and from their schools, universities, jobs, and places of business. Line 1 is the safest and fastest way to move around the city, although its routes haven’t covered all of Lima.

Most of the time, you will find Line 1 crowded, and you may have to wait in line for some time to enter. But once you’re in the system, you will be able to travel from the south to the center in no time. There are some rules to follow:

  1. You shouldn’t eat or drink inside the metro.
  2. You should buy and charge your Line 1 card before entering the station.
  3. You should check your route (whether it goes to the south or north) before entering the system.
  4. You should be prepared to stand during your trip.

Anyway, you will have serious troubles to understand the language. Chilean language is hard for a spanish-speaking person and generally is uninteligible. Also don´t expect to see happy people, unless they are drunk. In all cases you have to talk first. If not, nobody will talk to you. I live in Trujillo, Perú, it’s a popular city of the country, with a lot of famous places and very nice people, but we don’t have a very well system of transport, in this city you can take a taxi if you have money for it, or maybe if you don’t have a lot of money you can take a bus, but you have to be very careful with the bus that you want to take, because we have so many routes, buses with diferent colors and letters, so you have to know the destination and what bus you can take, in this city we don’t have whereabouts, so you can take a bus anywhere, if you are student, underage or you have a university card, you can pay less. The buses are usually crowded, sometimes you can sit down if you are lucky, you have to be very careful with your things, your cellphone, and your wallet, pay attention all time.

I love the new way of platzi recording the workshops of English class.

I live in CDMX (Mexico City) we have a transport similar to the red one in Medellín, it is fast and cheap but it is not enough because a lot of people use it during peak hours.
Personally, I rarely use it, perhaps 2 or 3 times in my life, my frequent means of transportation is the subway, but in recent years it has become unsafe and sometimes even dangerous due to the low maintenance budget.
So, when it is possible because the weather and the distance allow it, I preferred to walk instead of using the subway.

Hi.
I’m from Panama.
Here the public transport are buses knowed as “Metrobus”. It’s very organized to be a public transport system, but in another option, we have the subway called “Metro de Panama”.
To take the bus, you should buy a Metro card on the recharge center, and make sure that your Card have balance.
You should check your route on the app “Mi bus”.
You shouldn’t eat or drink inside the bus.
You shouldn’t leave trash in the bus. We are responsible to keep it clean! 😄
You should keep all value things in safe pocket of your backpack and pants. Remember that thieves are everywhere, and no one have thief face! o_O!
You should respect the rules and the conductor. Remember that they are persons like you, serving to make your life better. Share a Smile! 😃

You should buy a life segurity!!!

You wouldn’t sit in the first chairs because These are for pregnant women or adults of legal age, and if all chairs are occupied you would get up and give up your seat, it’s more for education.
