The lack of purified water is a hotly debated topic that often divides opinion. It is common knowledge that the advancements in technology, industry and manufacture have detrimental impacts in many aspects. My view on the issue is that individuals have gained more consciousness about saving this precious liquid, but big corporations have not still taken the matter into hand, making any efforts of solving this problem totally worthless. One of the consequences of this shortage is the dramatic increase of certain diseases produced by polluted water. For instance, the rates of gastroenteritis, cholera, and some other illnesses that should not be existing in the modern world are growing by leap and bounds. Notwithstanding Scientists’ efforts to warn governments about the growing numbers of patients suffering these conditions, Industries keep contaminating rivers, lakes and bays with their waste which gets through the deepest aquifers and ends up polluting table water, becoming the direct cause of the mentioned infections. This could be addressed by establishing regulations regarding waste disposal and management The shortage of pure water has broader prejudicial effects that go far beyond humans. Some animals are also affected by the scarcity and pollution of large water masses. One well known example is the damage produced by large petroleum spills, specially to penguins. A possible cause of their vulnerability is their lack of depth in their swimming. Every year hundreds of them end up having painful deaths despite the efforts of green environmental organizations to save them. Many sea creatures are reached by polluted water and every year a new species becomes extinct. This issue may not be in the public eye as an issue of concern, but any alteration of the ecosystem represents a negative impact on human life. This could be solved by setting exorbitant fines in large ships that not meet the safety conditions to navigate in the open sea. Taking everything into conclusion, it can be stated that our planet is running out of water and because of pollution and creatures of all kind are affected. Green policies and water saving should be in the top-priorities of governments’ agendas. For instance, financial rewards for water-saving policies could produce a considerable reduction in the amount of industrial waste. I strongly believe that countries should encourage and subsidize water purifying programs in order to preserve one of the most precious treasures of our planet. Still, every little effort make by each individual is important and can make the difference.
EXMAPLE TASK2: Recently, film directors and producers have debated the suitable investment to produce a high-quality movie. In my opinion, it is not necessary to invest millions of dollars, as far as the founding team had a correct strategy. There are many reasons to support the idea of obtaining a high-quality movie produced by low-cost methods. Firstly, nowadays is possible to obtain high-quality video, such as HD, in affordable formats based on the evolution of technology during the last years. For instance, smartphones such as iPhone or Pixel offers better cameras than the top filming models decades ago. Moreover, rather than the device itself, the video quality relies on the technique of film. As a result is possible to obtain high-quality videos without extraordinary amounts of money. In second place, another important factor in determining a high-quality movie is the selection of the main actors. Nowadays, thanks to social media it is possible to find micro-influencers and new talents that provide a perfect target fit with a high salary. Yet another reason, influencers are able to create emotional connections with selected targets, due to their close relationship in social media. Furthermore, these new talents want to legitimate their profile and sound as a top deal, volunteering in films in exchange for growing their portfolio. To sum up, is possible to recruit high-quality staff without a high budget, but with a strategic hiring process. In conclusion, I believe it is possible to record top-quality films with low budgets. It would be interesting to watch new formats such as metaverse or new technologies videos, but for now, we should trust the new talents and pivots that filming students are creating now at schools. We should be excited about the evolution and democratization of the film industry during the next years.
