How to advance your language project successfully?

At the end of a language learning module, the question may arise as to how to apply what you have learned in a tangible and useful way. This is the perfect time to get down to work and develop a personal project that reflects the skills you have acquired. If you have already chosen two places of interest, the next step is crucial: describing, using the linguistic richness you have gained. Let's see how!

What should you include in your descriptions?

When describing your chosen places, it is essential to integrate certain linguistic elements that will help you express your ideas clearly and attractively:

  • Adjectives: these are essential to add color and emotion to your descriptions. For example, "the beach is beautiful and calm".

  • Abstract nouns: Use these terms to express non-tangible concepts, such as "the joy of being in the park" or "the tranquility of the forest."

  • Gerunds and infinitive verbs: These are useful for describing continuous or potential actions. For example, "strolling through the city" or "enjoying the nightlife".

Integrating these elements will allow you to create rich and detailed descriptions of the places you have selected.

How will you handle the conclusion of your project?

Although there is still one class left to finish this project, it is important to keep in mind that the conclusion not only brings closure to the work, but should also reflect the evolution and personal learning you have gained during this process. Think about how this project reflects your progress in the language, and consider including personal reflections or significant learnings.

What to consider for the next class?

In the last class, you will be provided with crucial information on how to properly complete your project. This is the time to ask any questions you have and make sure you understand all aspects necessary for successful completion. Remember that every step you take brings you closer to your language goals.

This project is an excellent opportunity not only to apply your knowledge, but also to explore your creativity and personal style. Keep going, learning is a never-ending journey and the next step is just around the corner!

Writing blogs is a passionate experience for me because I enjoy sharing my knowledge. When I study on Platzi, I feel very inspired by the courses, and this platform gives me a lot of ideas for writing articles. I have been writing articles on LinkedIn, and I feel excited because every time I finish an article, I improve my writing skills in English. In the beginning, it was a bit difficult because I made mistakes, but now, artificial intelligence helps me correct them and write better. I like to grow every day, and I hope for a better future when I apply my knowledge.

In Palmira, you can visit a very enjoyable place popular among foreigners called 'El Mundo en un Lugar.' In this place, you can find foods from every country in the world. Here's the corrected version of your text with some suggestions for improvement: I'm from Honduras, a country that many people mistakenly believe is not part of America. The country attracts numerous tourists every year. Two of its most important cities are San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa, both renowned for their bustling atmosphere. Therefore, many tourists choose to visit either of these cities and then venture to Comayagua, a place worth experiencing, residing in, and investing in. I would like to inquire if you know how to reach Comayagua. Firstly, it's advisable to visit during the Christmas season. However, this doesn't mean that you can't visit on any other day of the year. I mean, in November-December, the city emanates an incredible aura. It's the anniversary of its foundation, and the government organizes the traditional “Feria patronal,” a blend of food, culture, and joy. Among the various places you can explore, there's Ajuterique, a small town just a 5-minute drive away. If you've ever heard of “Pueblos Mágicos,” Ajuterique is one of them. It's where the locals may not offer you free coffee, but between us, it's very affordable. Another place you can visit is Lejamani, the twin city of Ajuterique, a wonderfully serene place to stay. In both towns, Ajuterique and Lejamani, you can opt for a mule ride. Or you can make friends; I don't recall encountering anyone in these towns who wasn't friendly. Happiness is just a bus ticket away. In conclusion, if you're considering visiting any place in the world, consider Honduras. Come to Comayagua and then venture to Ajuterique or Lejamani. You won't regret it.
