Peer /pɪr/ A person who is the same age or has the same social position or the same abilities as other people in a group. For example: We are review our code with our peers.
Arise /əˈraɪz/ to happen. For example: Should the opportunity arise, I'd love to go to Paris.
Involve /ɪnˈvɑlv, -ˈvɔlv/ to include someone or something in an activity. For example: I have involved to my partners in my project.
Counter-intuitive /ˌkaʊn.t̬ɚ.ɪnˈtuː.i.t̬ɪv/ Something that is counter-intuitive does not happen in the way you would expect it to. For example: Steering a sailboat is counter-intuitive - you push the tiller the opposite way to the way you want to go.
Pervasive /pɚˈveɪ.sɪv/ Present or noticeable in every part of a thing or place. For example: The influence of Freud is pervasive in her books.
Lousy /ˈlaʊ.zi/ Very bad. For example: I had a lousy weekend.
Fellow /ˈfel.oʊ/ used to refer to someone who has the same job or interests as you, or is in the same situation as you. For example: She introduced me to some of her fellow students.
Ubiquitous /juːˈbɪk.wə.t̬əs/ seeming to be everywhere. For example: The mobile phone, that most ubiquitous of consumer-electronic appliances, is about to enter a new age.
Throughout /θruːˈaʊt/ For example: The school has been repainted throughout.
Brick /brɪk/ a rectangular block of hard material used for building walls and houses. For example: The Lego bricks are awesome.
Sausage /ˈsɑː.sɪdʒ/ a thin, tube-like case containing meat that has been cut into very small pieces and mixed with spices. For example: My children love eating sausage.
Scallion /ˈskæl.i.ən/ a spring onion For example: The scallion is not so delicious, but with other food, we get much savor of that.

Look up /lʊk/ /ʌp/ to become better. For example: I hope things will start to look up after of quarantine.
Look after /lʊk/ /ˈæf.tɚ/ to take care of or be in charge of something. For example: One person looks after the stores' brand image and another looks after the advertising.
Give up /ɡɪv/ /ʌp/ to stop trying to guess. For example: You'll never guess the answer - do you give up?
Therefore /ˈðer.fɔːr/ for that reason. For example: We were unable to get funding and therefore had to abandon the project.
