3️⃣Advanced . How is hybrid brainstorming different from traditional brainstorming sessions?

• With hybrid brainstorming, participants have the opportunity to come up with solutions on their own.

• It is important that, at first, everyone knows the problem they are trying to solve.

• This technique provides personal reflection time while utilizing the power of the team.

Which is better? Why? In my opinion, hybrid brainstorming is better.

If you had the opportunity to listen to my recording of introverts and extroverts, you will remember that I mentioned there that, introverts are better problem solvers when they work alone than in a group. Because of this, I can say that, at least personally, I can think better by being alone. And with the power of the team, we can refine our ideas.

Definitely, combining individual brainstorming with group exercises leads to more and better ideas.

++Intermediate Level++

Before talking about the Pomodoro Technique, we need to understand when to use it because it will depend on some factors. First, according to Barbara Oakley, there are two modes of thinking: Focused and Diffuse. Focused thinking works very well with subjects that we already know, so we can pay attention for a long period of time, taking advantage of the neural paths that we already made on our brain about that known subject. Diffuse thinking on the other hand work better with new subjects, topics that we want to learn, so eventually we are able to create those neural paths in our brain, here is with Pomodoro Technique will be very useful due to its method using short study periods of time and breaks. Pomodoro Technique helps us to avoid procrastination and achieve our goals, and it works perfectly with diffuse thinking, it improves our productivity and increases our self-discipline. Pomodoro not only will help us while studying, we can use it with any task we want.

Advanced How is hybrid brainstorming different from traditional brainstorming session?

• In traditional brainstorming might be easier to bring the team together because everyone is in the same place.
• Also in traditional way, you have a specific place with some tools that help you to capture your ideas, like markers, post-it, blackboards.
• The human contact can be more productive
• It is more easy to express your ideas with clarity.

On the other hand, hybrid :

• Depending on time zones, it may or not be easy to schedule a team meeting
• They are always technical difficulties, so you need a backup plan
• If your team its international, it is a very way to work

Remember that it is your creativity that you need to show in a new circumstance.

How is hybrid brainstorming different from traditional brainstorming sessions? According to you, which one is better? Why?

In a hybrid brainstorming session, the participants are given the topic in advance. The idea is that they make a personal brainstorm so they have reworked ideas.

I think this could be quite useful for extrovert people to prevent them from taking control of the main brainstorm. But, it is disadvantageous to introverted people because they may overthink their ideas being accepted instead of new ideas. This problem can be reduced if the ideas are presented anonymously though.

In conclusion, I think bout of them are good as long as the ideas can be presented anonymously.

There are 2 great clases on platzi related to Pomodoro technique. What I learned is that technique is used to improve the attention and it is useful when we make online work or study. this technique permit you to be focused on the activities and avoid procastination. initially you should create your TO-DO list, then select a timer of 25 min and start with first activity, then You can take a rest of 5 min to restart again another 25min with the next activity, and so on, after 2 hours with same repetition, the rest should be between 15 to 30 min. I heard about it some time ago, nevertheless I am using it some days ago. until now it is great tool to help on the daily TO-DO list completation.

for me, hybrid brainstorming is the 2.0 version of traditional brainstorming. So it comes with useful upgrades like:

1. Anonymity
2. More opportunity of expression without fear
3. A more efficient process
4. Objectively
5. Wider variety of ideas
6. Enhances creative performance

So as you notice, for me is better the hybrid brainstorming

2️⃣Intermediate

The pomodoro technique is the way to get focus on our tasks. We just need to pick a task that we want to complete, set a 25-minute timer, next we have to work on that task until the time is up, finally we have to take a 5-minute break and start over. If we do 4 pomodoros consecutive we have to take a longer break, 15 to 30 minutes it’s ok. There are many benefits of using this technique por example, it makes you combating distractions also it will make you feel more productive and it’s fun to do this technique when you use an app for your cellphone like ‘Forest’.

Hello! I'm Oscar and I came to explain what pomodoro technique is.

The pomodoro technique is used by professional chefs around the world who specialized themselves about italian food, mainly pasta.

Well, in my mind could be that but as result of my research on internet, I found the pomodoro technique as an effective way to distribute all resources necesaries to achieve a project. I mean as resources the concentration, creativity, attention and all qualities whe need to work in an efficient way. This resources are used for 25 minutes and then people have to take a little rest for 5 minutes. The main point of the pomodoro technique is reset the consume of resources across time and keeps levels of resourses in its optimal way to use them again. This technique has proved and increase on the productivity and keeps people focused and relaxed to follow working efficiently in their goals.

The technique is called pomodoro because when it was developed, the way to take time was with a tomato's shape clock, like the ones are used at kitchen. If the clock had been an apple or an avocado or another different shape, maybe the technique could be called mela technique or avocado technique hahaha. Nobody will know it.
