Llegando a Rio

This is a dialogue in Portuguese that we are going to practice sentence by sentence, so that we can exercise our pronunciation and comprehension of this new language. We invite you to read it out loud and understand as much as you can.

Dialog and scenario in Portuguese

Fernanda: Bom dia, preciso ir ao hotel Copacabana! Como chegou lá? (Good morning I need to go to the Copacabana hotel, how did you get there?).

Operations person: Bom dia! Então a senhora tem duas opções, poderia ir de ônibus ou pegar diretamente um táxi. (Good morning! She has two options. She could go by bus or take a cab directly).

Fernanda: Ah, perfeito! E onde eu pego o táxi? (Ah, perfect! Where can I get a cab).

Operations person: A senhora tem que ir até a saída. Quando chegar lá, o ponto de táxi vai estar à sua direita. (You have to go to the exit, when you get there the cab stand will be on your right)

Fernanda: Ok, very kind. Muito obrigada!(Ok, very kind, thank you very much!)

Magina, até logo! (Gladly, see you later)

Cab driver: Bom dia, senhora! Precisa de um táxi? (Good morning, ma'am! You need a cab!)

Cab driver: Pode entrar, por favor(Please come in).

Fernanda: You are very kind! Obrigada! Vamos ao hotel Copacabana, por favor. (You are very kind! Thank you! Let 's go to the Copacabana hotel, please)

Cab driver: Certo! (It's ok)

Finishing, we can say that by listening once to the dialogue we get a general idea of what is going on, in the sentence by sentence review we can go much deeper and in the last repetition we can reaffirm everything we have learned.
