Expresa causa y consecuencia utilizando Due to u Owing to. Tienen el mismo significado que Because of. Due to es más comúnmente usado para este fin.

Puedes usar dos estructuras diferentes, ambas tienen el mismo significado:

  • Consequence + Due / Owing to + Cause
  • Due / Owing to + Cause + Consequence

Veamos algunos ejemplos:

  • I arrived late due to the traffic jam was unbearable.
  • Due to the traffic jam was unbearable, I arrive late.
  • She doesn’t finish her homework owing to her mother was very sick.
  • Owing to her mother is very sick. she doesn’t finish her homework.
