Invertir el orden del sujeto y el verbo en una oración te permitirá hablar de forma negativa sobre una circunstancia haciendo uso de adverbios negativos.

Cómo invertir el orden de sujetos y verbos para hablar en negativo

Los adverbios negativos son una serie de palabras que modifican verbos, adjetivos u otros adverbios y te permiten expresarte de manera negativa. Los adverbios negativos más comunes suelen ser:

  • Never
  • No sooner
  • Not only
  • Under no circumstances

Normalmente, en el inglés se utiliza la fórmula “Subject + Verb”. Pero, en esta oportunidad, invertiremos el orden y utilizaremos la siguiente fórmula: “Negative adverb + Verb + Subject”.

Veamos algunos ejemplos:

  • No sooner had they gone than it started to rain.
  • Never have I seen anything like that before.
  • Not only was it hot, but it was also humid every day.
  • Under no circumstances should children be here without supervision.
  • Never have I done anything wrong.
  • Under no circumstances should we contact him.
  • No sooner had she called that they left.

Emplea esta nueva estructura gramatical para expresarte de manera negativa sobre una circunstancia. Solo no olvides invertir el orden del verbo y del sujeto.
