Definition: get on board of (trains, busses, ships, aircraft, etc.)

Example: "We need to get on the train, it will leave in 5 minutes".

4️⃣ New expression: Luggage

Definition: anything you use to carry your things with you on a trip

Example: "The first thing I will do when I arrive at the hotel is to dump my luggage".

Hi Helmut. Great question. In English this is called: Second Conditional. The second conditional is used to talk about things which are unreal (not true or not possible) in the present or the future -- things that might not happen. In the sentence: they could give us a hand at some point if we needed some help they don't need help right now. They are talking about an unreal situation. Check this other example: I could travel if I had money: I don't have money right now so I can't travel but this could change in the future. We usually use _"would" _ in the first sentence before If, but "could" is also correct and used. :D Let me know if you have more questions.

Chapter 5: Landing in Egypt

The three students finally arrived to Egypt. They are very excited about it. They are tired for the long trip. Sara ask Jake for help reaching her backpack because she is not tall enough.

Sara and Jake ask Max about his mysterious package, they wonder why his father has friend in Egypt.
Sara suggest that if they need it, those Max’s father friends could help them.
Sara’s backpack was suspiciously heavy.

NOTES:

The trio arrived to Egypt. Jake ask: “Are you guys as excited as I am?” and absolutely, they are. They feel tired after the long flight. Sarah asks Max: “what’s in the package by the way?” and Jake: “does your father have friends in Egypt?” He says that he doesn’t know. Jake helps Sarah to get her backpack on the plane, which is heavy and both boys noticed. Now they’re going to the Hotel.
