Chapter 3: The encrypted map

Tony came to Jake’s place a few hours before Sara and Max arrived. Jake will print the tickets. Tony, Jake and Max are archaeology students. Tony said that this must be an expensive trip, but with the Professor Charles’ recommendation letter they have access to this ruins.

Tony was translating an ancient and encrypted map for Jake. The map was given to Jake by Professor Charles.
The map indicate the path to some of the most antique ruins in the world, willing to complete the research for their thesis.
Tony couldn’t translate everything on the map. He said that there is something about a weird chamber, but is not clear, he asks Jake to be careful.
The map was very unusual.

(my notes) Why Jake ask help to Tonny about the translation. (Tony dont know about the map) Why the map was encrypted? (The person that wrote the map was hiding something, because it goes to an unauthorized tombs and caverns. The role of professor here is crussial, the guys will travell to an sofisticate place, they will go for the recomendation of the professor, why them?. Actually in this case I guess it's more accurate to understand it as "hall", because of what he said: "There's something about a chamber that leads to some weird place" and in Oxford dictionary (https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/definition/english/chamber?q=chamber) that's the main meaning they give it.

Jake has the Encrypted Map when Tonny arrives to his house and Jake asks him: “How’s the translation process?” He says that it was encrypted, which is unusual. It’s an ancient map with the weirdest hieroglyphics that he’s ever seen. “What does Jake need this map for?” He with both, Max and Sarah will use it to get into some of the most antique ruins in the world. Also, for their thesis. They won’t pay any money because their professor gave them free access. Professor Charles gave the map to the students. It contains an unauthorized description of some tombs and caverns. And also there’s something about a chamber that leads to a hidden place, but Tonny couldn’t translated at all. So they will need to be careful.
