My Mailgun client does not work at all. I’ve set up the account and added authorized recipients but cannot get it to send an email. When I signed up for Mailgun the api-key did not have the “key-” part it was just a random string characters. But I tried in the custom.js file as both with “key-” and without “key-”.Has anyone else experienced this?

It'd be nice if there was an update as a Sails seems to recommend or to have sendgrid built in instead of mailgun as october 2020.

Were you able to get it working? I am having difficulty with the SendGrid implementation. Possibly because I feel like it wants too much information from me.

FYI...MailGun appears to have been replaced by SendGrid.

I love the idea Sails displays respond or verification emails on the console in development stage

if we want to use our domain to send e-mail, where we have to put it in the code?

I haven't done it, so don't quote me, but I think if you wanted to role your own you would install the nodemailer package and at the bottom of send-template-email.js in the else block, you would replace the mailgun code with the nodemailer commands.

If you are behind a proxy, how do you setup Sails.js/Mailgun to use proxy to communicate with their service?
I can see that mailgun-js has the option to set proxy, but cant see that Sails.js exposes that option to set.

Why do we need mailgun? Can’t nodejs send emails iteslf? Like PHP? (I’m coming from PHP and we ave a send email function)

Can you please show the non-mailgun way. I want to use nodejs itself to send email. Mailgun is giving me problems like it needs to SMS me to verify.

Services as mailgun, help prevent that your emails was mark at spam, if you send emails directly from your server the ip address the server can be market in blacklist, then any email always come in to spam tray
