Hi Mike, thanks for your course, I think it is very good.
But I have a problem with the :
:cloud-error:sync = “cloudError” inside ajaxform. I created correctly action with notFound exits and when i generate manually the error in the cmd console i see correct message notFound ecc… but in the modal your trick doesn’t work because in v-if=“cloudError” i don’t receive any value.
Thanks in advance for help. 😃
PS: Where i can find documentation about ajax-form?

The code in your comment has an error. You are using :sync when it should be .sync; notice a period instead of a colon. More completely:

:cloud-error.sync="cloudError"

Hi there!

I am trying to make a custom error message that states that the item the user tried to delete no longer exists. I was able to accomplish this, but I am having a hard time getting Vue to refresh the list of items after the error has occurred. Could you please let me know how I can do that?

I’m not certain, but I suppose you want to add an @rejected function handler to your ajax-form element (similar to @submitted).

Inside the page action, where you define the rejected handler, you’d want to do:

if (this.cloudError === 'notFound') {
  _.remove(this.things, {id: this.selectedThing.id});
  this.$forceUpdate();
}

Note: I don't know what your variables are called. The above things and selectedThing should be replaced with whatever you're naming them.

After calling the $forceUpdate, The item should disappear from the UI. You’d probably want to close the modal again too and place the error message elsewhere (or fail silently).

Anyone else notice that the modal dismiss already present works, but then you cannot launch a new modal instance after dismissal? I'm digging in to figure out what I missed, and will share here once I get this figured out -- but if someone can "beat me to it" and post what I missed, I'd be grateful....
