Una nueva forma de hablar de situaciones hipotéticas del pasado, del presente o también del futuro, es empleando “Only if” en una oración condicional.
El inglés es un idioma dinámico, cambiar el orden de las palabras puede ser un error gramatical o puede cambiar por completo el significado de una oración. Utilizar la expresión “only if” para hablar de forma hipotética y condicional, no es lo mismo que decir “if only” para expresar arrepentimiento.
Podemos utilizar “only if” al comienzo de una oración para hacer énfasis en una idea, pero es necesario invertir la cláusula.
