Hypothetical situations using ‘only if’

Recursos

Situaciones hipotéticas usando “only if”

Veamos algunos ejemplos:

  • Present:
    • You can* go to the park only if* you finish your homework.
    • Only if you finish your homework can you go to the park.
  • Present continuous:
    • Sam is training only if the match is still on.
    • Only if the match is still on is Sam training.
  • Future:
    • I will invite her to the cinema only if she calls me first.
    • Only if she calls me first will I invite her to the cinema.

Algunos ejercicios para ti: Invierte las siguientes oraciones que poder usar “only if” al comienzo de cada oración. - They will travel tomorrow only if the weather is good. - You can have access only if you pay the monthly fee. - She is traveling this weekend only if she does well at school. - Lions are calm only if they’re not disturbed.
