I think that it is really more difficult the difference between To and For :( This course is done by César Cordero and is made for all Platzi Students :D
Great example!
I think one of the best examples to understand the difference between **for **and **to **is with the phrase: I didn't this to her, I did it for her" (No le hize esto a ella, lo hize por ella) I hope it was clear XD This is in a example of the movie " spiderman homecoming" second 40 ish
Happy birthday to you!
I was thinking the same thing lol
He listened to her very carefully I give a gold chain to her as Christmas present. You can't tell this secret to anyone
TO
-We’ll give this to your mother, not to you. Don’t insist, please. -Sally explained everything to her siblings. -I cannot believe they said that to you!
TO
Refer to the recipient Refer to the indirect object To + noun -We’ll give this to your mother, not to you. Don’t insist, please. -Sally explained everything to her siblings. -I cannot believe they said that to you!
Cesar Cordero is very young, so he is very assertive with the message TO your understanding. Great course.

¿Está mal poner en una carta by - to?
No está mal, solo depende del uso que le des. Porque si usas “to” te podrías estar refiriendo a la persona a la que se la vas a dar la carta, ej. “I’ll send this letter to my mom”. En el caso de “by” te estarías refiriendo a quién escribió la carta, ej. “This letter was written by Jaime”.
Please give this present from me to my mother.
She explained the formulas to her friend
I explained all the safety parameters to the new one
Let's give this to the teachers
Yesterday I went to the library to borrow some books.
We´re in a class, and the teacher is explaining all the exercise we must to do.
I need to go to the supermarket to buy something for the weekend´s picnic with my friends.
Sally used to go to the club for practicing football until she broke her left leg.
