Hola, Algunos detalles para la corrida final, quedo así el resultado
aws dynamodb create-table \ --table-name 'Music' \ --attribute-definitions \ 'AttributeName=Artist,AttributeType=S' \ 'AttributeName=SongTitle,AttributeType=S' \ 'AttributeName=AlbumTitle,AttributeType=S' \ --key-schema \ 'AttributeName=Artist,KeyType=HASH' \ 'AttributeName=SongTitle,KeyType=RANGE' \ --provisioned-throughput \ 'ReadCapacityUnits=10,WriteCapacityUnits=5' \ --local-secondary-indexes \ "[{\"IndexName\": \"AlbumTitleIndex\", \"KeySchema\": [{\"AttributeName\": \"Artist\", \"KeyType\": \"HASH\"}, {\"AttributeName\": \"AlbumTitle\", \"KeyType\": \"RANGE\"}], \"Projection\": {\"ProjectionType\":\"INCLUDE\",\"NonKeyAttributes\":[\"Gender\",\"Year\"]}}]"
muchas gracias, excelente aporte!!
📘 Índices Locales Secundarios en DynamoDB (LSI – Local Secondary Index)
🔹 ¿Qué es un índice local secundario (LSI)?
Un LSI permite crear índices alternativos sobre los datos en una tabla sin cambiar la clave de partición. Se utiliza para hacer consultas más eficientes basadas en otros atributos además de la clave principal.
🔑 Diferencias clave:
📦 Ejemplo: Crear una tabla con un LSI
aws dynamodb create-table \ --table-name Estudiantes \ --attribute-definitions \ AttributeName=EstudianteId,AttributeType=S \ AttributeName=Curso,AttributeType=S \ AttributeName=Nota,AttributeType=N \ --key-schema \ AttributeName=EstudianteId,KeyType=HASH \ AttributeName=Curso,KeyType=RANGE \ --local-secondary-indexes '[ { "IndexName": "NotaIndex", "KeySchema": [ { "AttributeName": "EstudianteId", "KeyType": "HASH" }, { "AttributeName": "Nota", "KeyType": "RANGE" } ], "Projection": { "ProjectionType": "ALL" } } ]' \ --provisioned-throughput ReadCapacityUnits=5,WriteCapacityUnits=5
🔍 Consultar usando el índice
Una vez creado, puedes hacer una consulta usando el índice así:
aws dynamodb query \ --table-name Estudiantes \ --index-name NotaIndex \ --key-condition-expression "EstudianteId = :id" \ --expression-attribute-values '{":id":{"S":"123"}}'
🧠 Proyección en LSI
Con ProjectionType decides qué atributos incluir:
KEYS_ONLY: Solo claves primarias e índice.INCLUDE: Añades atributos específicos.ALL: Todos los atributos de la tabla.carga de items en la tabla Music
aws dynamodb batch-write-item --request-items file:///Users/juan-pc/Downloads/songs.json
Por qué no se define un AttributeType a Genre y Year?
Les comparto una manera de ingresar este json usando python, tambien es bueno aprender este metodo, para este caso al ser un json que tiene formato bajo nivel de dynamodb hace el codigo un poco mas complejo pero vale la pena entender el código.
import json import boto3 from pathlib import Path dynamodb = boto3.resource("dynamodb") tabla = dynamodb.Table("Music") carga = input("Escribe le nombre del archivo json (por ejemplo, music.json): ").strip() archivo = Path(carga) if not archivo.exists(): print(f"El archivo '{carga}' no existe en la carpeta.") else: try: with archivo.open("r", encoding="utf-8") as f: data = json.load(f) registros = data["Music"] total=0 with tabla.batch_writer() as batch: for registro in registros: item = registro["PutRequest"]["Item"] item_limpio = { "Artist": item["Artist"]["S"], "SongTitle": item["SongTitle"]["S"], "AlbumTitle": item["AlbumTitle"]["S"], "Genre": item["Genre"]["S"], "Year": int(item["Year"]["S"]) } batch.put_item(Item=item_limpio) total += 1 print(f"Insertado: {item_limpio['Artist']} - {item_limpio['SongTitle']}") print(f"Carga finalizada de '{carga}'. Total insertado: {total}") except json.JSONDecodeError: print(f"El archivo {carga} no tiene un JSON válido.") except Exception as e: print(f"Ocurrió un error: {e}")
TablaMusic.sh
aws dynamodb create-table --table-name 'Music' --attribute-definitions AttributeName=Artist,AttributeType=S AttributeName=SongTitle,AttributeType=S AttributeName=AlbumTitle,AttributeType=S --key-schema AttributeName=Artist,KeyType=HASH AttributeName=SongTitle,KeyType=RANGE --provisioned-throughput ReadCapacityUnits=5,WriteCapacityUnits=5 --local-secondary-indexes file://lsi_config.json
lsi_config.json
[ { "IndexName": "AlbumTitleIndex", "KeySchema": [ { "AttributeName": "Artist", "KeyType": "HASH" }, { "AttributeName": "AlbumTitle", "KeyType": "RANGE" } ], "Projection": { "ProjectionType": "INCLUDE", "NonKeyAttributes": ["Genre", "Year"] } } ]
// asi lo escribo en varias lineas y es mas legible
aws dynamodb create-table \
--table-name 'Music' \
--key-schema \
'AttributeName=Artist,KeyType=HASH' \
'AttributeName=SongTitle,KeyType=RANGE' \
--attribute-definitions \
'AttributeName=Artist,AttributeType=S' \
'AttributeName=SongTitle,AttributeType=S' \
'AttributeName=AlbumTitle,AttributeType=S' \
--provisioned-throughput \
'ReadCapacityUnits=5,WriteCapacityUnits=5' \
--local-secondary-indexes \
"[ \
{ \
\"IndexName\":\"AlbumTitleIndex\", \
\"KeySchema\":[{\"AttributeName\": \"Artist\", \"KeyType\": \"HASH\"}, {\"AttributeName\": \"AlbumTitle\", \"KeyType\": \"RANGE\"} ], \
\"Projection\": { \"ProjectionType\": \"INCLUDE\", \"NonKeyAttributes\": [\"Genre\",\"Year\"] } \
} \
]"
EN terraform queda de la siguiente manera
resource "aws_dynamodb_table" "Music" {
nam = "Music"
billing_mode = "PAY_PER_REQUEST"
hash_key = "Artist"
range_key = "SongTitle"
attribute {
name = "Artist"
type = "S"
}
attribute {
name = "SongTitle"
type = "S"
}
attribute {
`` ``name = "AlbumTitle"
`` ``type = "S"
}
tags = {
Name = "proyecto"
Environment = "test" }
global_secondary_index {
`` `` name = "estudianteNombre"
`` `` hash_key = "Artist"
range_key = "AlbumTitle"
projection_type = "INCLUDE" non_key_attributes = ["Genre", "Year"] write_capacity = 1 read_capacity = 1
}
}
solo una claridad, en DynamoDB se usa el termino de ítem en lugar de registro, este último es más propio de las bases de datos relacionales
En 2026, la línea de comando en cmd windows, además del archivo 'lsi_config.json' es:
aws dynamodb create-table --table-name Music --attribute-definitions AttributeName=Artist,AttributeType=S AttributeName=SongTitle,AttributeType=S AttributeName=AlbumTitle,AttributeType=S --key-schema AttributeName=Artist,KeyType=HASH AttributeName=SongTitle,KeyType=RANGE --provisioned-throughput ReadCapacityUnits=5,WriteCapacityUnits=5 --local-secondary-indexes file://lsi_config.json --region us-east-2
