We have two different phones, but can be compared in many ways, say:

Town5X has a similar price like PrimaYz but little bit under 100 bucks approximately. The memory is basically the same in both, but for YZ you must to make one increase. In weight terms 5X is heavier 11 g, and in the battery 5X will give you more time compared to YZ. Likewise, comparing display 5X is bigger than YZ. But in the different fashion YZ will give you a better camera, and the more advanced android. 5X will give 24 hour help line compared with tech support from 9am-5pm from YZ.

Now we have two keyboards, JR an YZ.Both has a similar price, comparing the color the YZ could give you purple and black colorbut JR white and both can give you gray. JR size 46.5cm similar to YZ with 44cm. The power in JR get charged in 15 hours while YZ 12. Yz will brig bluetooth but both give you Wireless mouse. One big difference is the guarantee, 1 year for JR and 6 months for YZ.

Importance of comparing information

Why is it important to compare information? Comparing helps you evaluate and understand both the information you're discussing and the information provided by the speaker.

How to compare information

There are different ways to compare information, including:

Explaining or introducing similarities
Comparing information in one sentence
Comparing information in two sentences

1. Explaining or introducing similarities

You can use phrases like:

"is similar to"
"is comparable to"
"can be compared to"

Examples:

"Inflation today is similar to that of the 1970s."
"Mobile phone production can be compared to the constant need for more advanced devices."
"IT company production today is comparable to appliance production in the 1950s and 1960s."

2. Comparing information in one sentence

Use phrases such as:

"is/are the same as"
"is equivalent to"
"compared with"
"____ is/are ____ than"

Examples:

"This class is newer than the one you just covered."
"Direct employees are the same as indirect employees but with less cost for the company."
"A manager in some companies is equivalent to a director in other companies."
"Compared with company benefits 50 years ago, there is a wider variety of benefits today."
"IT projects with AI are easier than creating them with a project team."

3. Comparing information in two sentences

Use phrases like:

"Similarly"
"Similar to that"
"Likewise"
"In the same way"
"In the same fashion"

Examples:

"The sales conference was in the Caribbean. Similarly, the managers' meeting will be at a beach resort."
"We have increased productivity by 8%. Likewise, sales went up by 10%."

Quarterly reviews o revisiones trimestrales.

Inflation today is similar to that of the 1970s.
Mobile phone production can be compared to the constant need for more advanced devices.
IT company production today is comparable to appliance production in the 1950s and 1960s.

¿Cuándo uso is similar to en lugar de is the same as? Usa is similar to cuando quieres introducir una comparación al inicio de la idea. Usa is the same as cuando comparas dentro de una misma oración y quieres marcar equivalencia directa.

Aquí entran are the same as, is equivalent to, compared with y la estructura clásica con than.

La fórmula con than la conoces: sujeto + verbo to be + adjetivo comparativo + than. Por ejemplo: This class is newer than the class you just covered.

Algunos ejemplos aplicados al mundo laboral:

Direct employees are the same as indirect employees, but with less cost for the company.
A manager in some companies is equivalent to a director in other companies.
Compared with company benefits 50 years ago, there is a wider variety of benefits today.
IT projects with AI are easier than creating them with project teams.

Similarly,
Similar to that,
Likewise,
In the same way,
In the same fashion,

Así se ven funcionando juntos:

The sales conference was in the Caribbean. Similarly, the managers' meeting will be at a beach resort.
We have increased productivity by 8%. Likewise, sales went up by 10%.

¿Likewise e in the same way significan lo mismo?

Coaching programs offered by consultants can be compared to internal company mentoring programs.
Time spent on commuting is equivalent to time spent in meetings.
A higher salary is an important factor for new employees. Similarly, a good benefits package can make a big difference.
The stress of dealing with complaints in call centers is similar to organizing annual corporate events.
