Great job Ximena! By the way, my favorite song is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Would you be so kind as share your favorite song too?
What a great song!! I've never heard about it, it's amazing makes me feel as if I were in the beach listening the sound of the waves.
Polite request
A request is when you ask someone else to do something for you, or to do you a favor.
Ways to make a request politely: (use infinitive form)
Variations:
We also end with a polite phrase
To remember:
Work class:
I love your contribution Nicolas - great notes!
Thank you very much for your help.
It would be my pleasure to help you with the bags and let the dog out - I love animals!
And great job on the phrases Ruben!
I wonder if you'd be kind enough to tell us what's your favorite animated series? Mine it's "Arcane".
Woah! I've never watched Arcane- It is like a trend these days, huh? Do you think I should watch it? My favorite series is Vikings
Hi!
Here are my five polite requests for you all:
Nicely done Nathalia! The only mistake might just be a typo - in #4 you don't need to put the question mark (?). And I agree to correct you when you make any mistakes speaking but so far I haven't seen any. Keep up the good work!
Would you be so kind as to open the door for me?
Would you be so kind as to warm my food?
Would you be so kind as to tell me what do you think about this request?
Would you be so kind as to help me with my homework?
Would you be so kind as to open this bottle for me?
Would you be so kind as to tell me what things are important in this class?
You be so kind and repeat most points of this class?
I will apreciate if you could help me with this class
Would you kindly take note of it
Would mine help me with that?
Will you be so very kind as to share with me your note ?
Would you be so kind as to help me with this direction?
Would you kindly tell were I am?
I wonder if you'll be kind enough to take me to that place?
I will you be so very kind as to clean those shoes?
Which is more said by a regular speaker Taxi or Cab?
They are quite balanced almost in a 50/50 ratio of use. But in my experience Cab was used more by well-educated people and Taxi was more generic considering that it is identical to how it is said in Spanish
would you be so kind as to share that gym machine with me?
Would you kindly confirm your assistance to the event?
will you be so bery kind as to lend me 5 bucks?
Nice job Juan Pablo! I like how you used the slang term for "dollars" too. You're definitely getting good bang for your buck!
Could you please show me the classroom?
Could you clean my room?
Would you kindly give me a massage?
Nice work John! Good job on the politely making requests - keep up the good the work!
Nice work Camilo! Just make sure to use the word "so" in your response, like this: Would you be so kind as to repeat what your name is, please?
I am so glad that you Invited yourself to eat my food. Would you be so kind to let some for me?
Yes, I would be so kind to save some food for you. Thank you for your invitation.
Nice work Humberto! Just make sure to use the word "as" in your response, like this: Would you be so kind as to leave some for me?
Nice job Jonatan!
Would yo be so kind as to help me turning the light off?
Would you be so kind as to help me to find my notebook?
Would you kindly take care of my cats for two hours?
Would yo be so very kind as to help me turning the TV on?
I wonder if you are kind enough to carry my laptop ?
Would you be so kind as to help me turning the light off? The answer to the question.
Nice job Marisol! Just make sure that you are using the infinitive form after "Would you be so kind as to..." in the first sentence and the third sentence, respectively: Would you be so kind as to help me turn off the light? Would you be so very kind as to help me turn the TV on?
And in the last sentence I would use "I wonder if you would be kind enough to...", like this: I wonder if you would be enough to carry my laptop.
Would you be so kind as to turn down the music?
Will you be so kind as to read the email for me?
Nice work Jose!
Nice work here Felipe! Just remember that in the third sentence you need to use the modal verb "would"... If you would be so kind as to...
Everything else looks perfect!
Nice job Lisneiry! I really liked your polite requests - keep up the good work!
