The majority of native English speakers will use reductions in the bulk of their speech, which is why I believe they are so important to learn. The reduction section of the new course Curso de Inglés Avanzado: Reducciones y Conectores is one of my personal favorites.

What are reductions?

Reductions are words that are reduced and not written in English, but that are frequently used by native speakers. It’s important to recognize them so you can understand spoken English and sound more natural when you speak. It’s much easier to listen to an English teacher in the classroom, however, listening to the same teacher in a natural setting with other native speakers is a whole new level.

Why should you learn reductions?

Have you ever had difficulty understanding movies or songs in English? They are probably using reductions in their speech. Practicing these reductions will train your ear to adapt and adjust to catch these quick phrases and questions that will go over most people’s heads.

Using reductions such as the ones in this course, will enhance your fluency with ease and allow words to flow effortlessly, comprehension of swift questions and phrases, and readiness for relaxed conversation in the outside world. Reductions shouldn’t make you nervous, actually, they are a fun addition to comprehend how local language works.

Getting to know your teacher

My name is Austin Snyder and I come from an extremely small town in Oregon, USA. I left my hometown when I was 20 in a pursuit to travel and instruct others on the charm of the English language.

Departing from my miniscule town and traversing through other countries has broadened my horizons to many amazing cultures and people out there, which gives me a burning passion to search and seek out many other experiences abroad.

I’ve taught many students around the world from North to South America, all the way to Asia. Collaborating with U.S universities and business English institutions has given me the the tools to develop and execute a wide array of class topics.

Throughout my years teaching English, my greatest pleasure has been to inform others of different cultures that speaking English doesn’t have to be as hard as it seems. My style of teaching focuses on the importance of setting a comfortable environment for my students to speak at a pace they are confident in. My desire in teaching is to educate others to speak in a natural way; like you would in an informal day to day setting, considering that is how most people speak 80% of the time. Taking my classes will improve fluency, informal vocabulary, and most of all, confidence while talking to native English speakers.

What will you find in my course?

It’s a pleasure for me to introduce you this, my first course: Curso de Inglés Avanzado: Reducciones y Conectores. In this, you will be able to have a deeper understanding on how to structure and connect ideas on a variety of different topics.

Using the connectors in my course will assist anyone to convey accurate explanations, organize information, and to show important segments in speech. Realizing the importance of connectors will open your vocabulary to compare and contrast numerous themes, expressing yourself in different emotions, and most importantly, to determine how various phenomena relate in terms of origins and results.

Towards the end of this course I expect for you to be able to understand English speakers in most natural settings, and the ability to reply in a casual, relaxed, organized manner. I wish the best of luck to you and hope you enjoy this course with the utmost merriment. See y’all!
