Well, the iPhone being a state of the art device is kind of an overstatement, i mean, it’s debatable to say the least.
Pull the plug = To stop a project suddenly, take someone or something off of the life support.
State of the art = THe most up-to-date, the latest technology
Every new iphone is state of the art.
In the long run = eventually, over a period of time.
In the long run, we will be able to meet demands, but now we are running behind.
Well oiled machine: something that runs or operates very well or smoothly. It can be with people too.
Our footbal team runs like a well oiled machine.
Cutting edge = the latest, greatest version.
This motorcycle has all the latest technology. It’s cutting edge!
